New houses
In the early 1800s a pair of semi-detached cottages were built at the eastern edge of the village of Charlton Kings, to the south-east of Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England. (Charlton Kings has since been absorbed into and is now a suburb of Cheltenham.) The cottages were orginally known as Numbers 1 and 2 Flaxley Hill Cottages. In the late 1940s Frank Potter converted these into a single dwelling, which then became known as ˜Flaxley". In 2002 planning permission was obtained to demolish the old house and build new houses on the site.
